Assalamu'alaikum. Hello mesin. I would like to ask you about semantics. Your video shows that semantics is the study of meaning communicated through language. Is it true that we can signify the meaning of all sentences through the symbols? If it is true or not, please explain by your own words.
waalaikumsalam wrwb. thank u sikin for your comment,of course semantics is the study of meaning communicated through language.especially for simbols, like as we know simbol is a way of delivering communication in the form of password to convey messages indirectly.
the symbol is part of the language, if we question whether all the sentences can we symbolize? of course not. symbols are not talking about a sentence, but the meaning of something. delivered through different languages or known as symbols.
Assalamualaikum, HI mesin, I want to ask you about your semantics presentation, According to the article that I examined,by Ludwig Wittgenstein :"the semantics theory is able to explain composition and must the into account, existing reference phenomena, my question is what the meant by composition and why should there be reference phenomena that exist? Please, explain your opinions. Thank you
well ... thank you rosita, what is meant by composition and why should there be references to phenomena that exist? the composition in the semantics is anything that is learned in the semantics branch, for example language style, symbols, then why should there be references to existing phenomena? of course if we make a symbol, for example, we have to find out what reference is right to symbolize this message, what is the most suitable phenomenon?
Okay thank you, so when learning semantics we must consider the existing phenomena, so what are the compositions associated with phenomena and who are experts who are experts in the study of semantics. Thank you
of course, semantic must pay attention to existing compositions, such as language style, and experts who are experts in semantics including, Muljana, Palmer, Aminudin, Verhaar, Katz and others.
Hai kak mesin... I want to ask for you about your presentasi.. Can you explain Does the synonym between two different words forever have the same meaning? and give an example. Thanks you
thank you siti, sorry before, every word has its own meaning, but it can have the same meaning. for example, the word love, loved, and lovely. every word has a different meaning but the meaning is the same which is about love
As we know that Semantic is the study of about symbol, study of meaning, change in meaning and the principles that goven the relationship between sentences or words and their meaning. So I want ask ,, mention the factors that cause changes in the meaning of a word.
assalamualaikum kak mey, your video is very good ... okay, I will ask about smantic, what is lexical and grammatical semantics and please give an example ?? thanks.
J.W.M Verhaar (1996) argues that lexical semantics involves lexical meaning. Lexical semantics has its own sub-field, meaning and reference, detonation and connotation of extensional analysis and intentional analysis, compound analysis, meaning and use and synonymy, Cantonese, harmony and hypnotism. Meaning and reference refer to the nature of 'word' as a lexical element. For example, bread ’has a specific meaning and instead of the reference aspect‘ bread ’refers to certain foods. Denotations and connotations diffuse words rather than aspects of assessment. Denotation is the meaning of the word in question when connotation is the assessment of the speaker in an affective or emotional manner. For example, 'prison' in terms of denotation is a prison but in terms of connotation it is negative because it does not have the freedom to live.
Extensional analysis is a pragmatic meaning. The example of 'furniture' refers to various types of furniture. But in terms of intentional analysis "furniture" is household items and so on. Componential analysis also refers to the concept of difference. The words 'children' are related to words such as mother, father, family, brother and sister. The meaning and usage aspects are related to the lexical meaning and usage. For example, the 'pulpit' must depend on the speaker association. Some users consider the 'pulpit' as the furniture used for speeches and freedom of expression. But some users think the ‘pulpit is 'pulpit'. Synonyms refer to almost the same meaning but different forms of words such as 'fate' and 'fate'. Antonyms are pairs like the comparison between 'easy' and 'difficult'. Hyponym is defined as the relationship between smaller and more true ones. For example, 'furniture' is hyponym for 'furniture'.
and grammatical meaning is a new element of meaning that occurs when there are grammatical processes such as affixation, reduplication, composition or sentenceization. Berazam: Doing promises in the form of accomplishments ..
In the semantics, there are elements, namely: Signs and Symbols (Symbols) Signs and symbols (symbols) are two elements in language. Signs developed into a theory called semiotics. Semiotics has three aspects related to linguistics, namely syntactic aspects, pragmatic aspects, semantic aspects. Lexical Meanings and Reference Relationships The lexical element is the smallest unit in the system of meaning of a linguistics and its existence can be distinguished from other tertiary units. Lexical meanings can be in the form of categorematical and syscategorematical, are all words and implements, scientific groups with the meaning of structural meanings that must be interpreted in units of construction. Whereas referential relations are relationships that exist between a word and the outside world that are referred to by the conversation. Naming Naming is the process of finding language symbols to describe concept objects, processes and so on. Often by using existing vehicles, such as by changing possible meanings or by imaging words or groups of words.
Hello Kak Mei..Your Video is good.i just want to ask you ..In your video, you say that semantics is the study of meaning communicated through language. and I also read the statement from Richmond H. Thomason that semantics is the study of the meaning of linguistic expression. So what kind of meaning will be discussed in this semantic? And can you explain to me, what are the types of semantics? Thankyou..

Yusuf, of all the blog comments, you just commented, "give me an example" ... and I think you don't know what that means. So shut up !!
HapusAssalamualaikum mesin..
BalasHapuswhat is the importance the writer always use symbol in their work ? Thanks😊
Hy sikumbang, the symbol is intended to better understand it, so it is strengthened more after what is written. And short save words too ..
HapusHi mey, how can the meaning of a given word or expression be defined or
BalasHapusmeasured?
Hy machine, I want to ask, can the symbols be used in human life well?
